Egyptian tennis star Mayar Sherif has been crowned champion of the Buenos Aires Open in Argentina, defeating Poland's Katarzyna Kawa in the final with a set score of 2-1.
Sherif’s journey to the title began in the Round of 32, where she faced Valeriya Strakhova. She triumphed in the first set 6-4, lost the second 4-6, and then dominated the third set 6-1. In the Round of 16, Sherif delivered an impressive performance, defeating Kristina Mladenovic with a straight-sets victory of 6-2, 6-2.
Advancing to the quarterfinals, Sherif secured a victory over Argentina’s Jazmin Ortenzi, showcasing her skill and resilience. In the semifinals, she overcame Czech player Sara Bejlek to reach the final of the Buenos Aires Open.
