Jihad Ahmed Mahmoud, an Egyptian student at the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence in Hurghada, ranked third in the world in the RoboCup Asia Pacific 2022 Robotics Competition.
Jihad ranked third in the world after Singapore ranked first and China second.
It is noteworthy that 42 countries around the world participated in this tournament with 170 contestants.
Dr. Osama Emara, Dean of the Faculty, said that the Egyptian student qualified to participate in the World Championship after winning the first place in the qualifications of the Arab Republic of Egypt Championship, which was held at the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence in Hurghada during the period from February 24-25, 2022.
Dr. Emara added this winning is a result of the continuous support of the university with the aim of upgrading talented students within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030.
