Egyptian Motorcyclist Ali Abdo Planning for New Guinness World Record

Ali Abdo, Egyptian Adventurer and world records holder, is attempting to register a new Guinness World Record for the greatest distance on an electric motorcycle in 24 hours.

The event is in partnership with the presidential initiative "Live Green" and is sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Environment.

The endeavor will take place on the New Alamein Corniche, on Friday, September 17.

It will begin at 8:00 am and will continue for 24 hours.

Abdo is seeking to draw attention to the power of world records and adventure to raise awareness and improve understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in Egypt.

The event is the second phase of the adventurer's initiative “100 Egypt” to promote Sustainable Development Goals after a successful trip for 1000km celebrating world environment day to raise awareness about climate change.

Abdo is planning to start the 3rd phase for the longest journey on the electric motorcycle to cover all Egyptian cities for similar goals.

The adventurer is the founder of the “Around Egypt on motorcycle” initiative and the “100 Egypt” initiative.

He was the first Arab to set a world record on a motorcycle. Abdo is a world record holder for "The Greatest distance on a motocross bike in 24 hours" and "The longest journey on of motorcycle in 7 days".
