In a prestigious ceremony witnessed by Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, the Egyptian Military Academy and its associated military colleges celebrated the completion of the military preparation period for the 120th class of cadets, including international students from allied and friendly nations.
The event was graced by the presence of Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Osama Askar, key branch commanders, several military leaders, and accredited military attachés in Cairo.
The ceremony commenced with a dynamic display of physical prowess by the new cadets, showcasing hand-to-hand combat skills, self-defense, close combat, karate, equestrianism, and cycling, demonstrating the cadets' physical and mental readiness and their high level of training proficiency.
Throughout the event, cadets displayed a wide array of skills acquired during their military training, including individual proficiency in assembling and disassembling small arms under various conditions, executing standard and non-standard shooting drills, and field skills.
A highlight was a training activity involving the storming of a stronghold, showcasing the cadets' professional execution of training tasks and their high physical fitness. The cadets also demonstrated their basic educational skills in weapon use and unarmed combat, followed by a military band performance.
A documentary titled "Leaders in the Nation's Consciousness," produced by the Morale Affairs Department, was shown, highlighting the biographies of leaders after whom the batches were named, in recognition of their distinguished service in the Armed Forces.
The ceremony concluded with a military parade featuring cadet groups led by flag bearers, accompanied by military music playing the "Martyr's Anthem," and the announcement of the end of the military preparation period by the senior instructor of the War College. Outstanding cadets were honored for their excellence in performance.
Major General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Director of the Egyptian Military Academy, delivered a speech emphasizing the Armed Forces' General Command's commitment to supporting and developing the educational system of the academy to prepare new generations of officers equipped with knowledge, discipline, and military values.
He highlighted the academy's efforts in transforming the new cadets from civilian to military life, fulfilling all physical and psychological requirements.
The ceremony concluded with a speech by Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, who conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the new cadets and their families.
He praised the cadets' performance as they embark on their military careers, emphasizing the importance of upholding the principles and traditions of the Armed Forces to ensure Egypt remains a safe and stable homeland, supportive of Arab causes, with a focus on the Palestinian issue and Egypt's continuous efforts to provide humanitarian support to the people of Gaza.
He also expressed gratitude to the cadets' families for their efforts in instilling core Egyptian values in their children.
