A group of Egyptian journalists launched an initiative, first of its kind, to support Egypt in its prolonged negotiations on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)

Titled "Let Nile Flow", the initiative aims to reveal the dangers of GERD on Egypt and face rumors spread about the dam, which could impact on Egypt negatively.

The initiative is based on the founders' social role towards the crisis, pointing out that the three countries did not reach an agreement over a decade amid Egyptian warrings about any unilateral action taken by Ethiopia to fill the dam.

It is worth noting that international specialists and experts joined the initiative to precisely follow up the developments of GERD negotiations to explain the dam's threats in Arabic, French, English, and Swahili.

In light of the growing water challenges facing the downstream country, GERD is posing a serious threat and is gravely harming all agricultural, economic, environmental, and social sectors, a matter that is threatening the lives of 100 million people in Egypt by imperiling their wellspring of sustenance.
