General Abdel Meguid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Sébastien Lecornu, the French Minister of the Armed Forces, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt as part of French President Emmanuel Macron's official visit.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen military cooperation between Egypt and France. It also included discussions on the latest developments on the regional and international fronts.
General Saqr expressed his appreciation for the long-standing military cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of international efforts to de-escalate regional tensions, protect civilian lives, and ensure the continuous flow of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
For his part, the French Minister of the Armed Forces expressed his pride in the strong partnership and fruitful cooperation with Egypt, particularly in the military field.
He also highlighted the shared perspectives between both countries on various issues that contribute to promoting security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, along with senior military officials from both countries.
