The Egyptian Football Association, led by Jamal Allam, has opened the winter transfer window for clubs starting today, Monday, and continuing until January 31st. This period allows clubs to strengthen their squads with new signings for the ongoing season that kicked off last September.
The association has urged all clubs to settle their outstanding dues and debts in order to participate in the winter transfer window, in accordance with FIFA regulations.
The summer transfer window of 2023 in Egypt witnessed several significant signings by Egyptian clubs to bolster their squads for the new 2023-2024 football season. Newly promoted teams to the Egyptian Premier League, such as Zed FC, Baladeyet El Mahalla, and El Gouna, were among the most active in signing new players during the summer market, followed by El Dakhleya and Al Ittihad Alexandria.
Reigning champions Al Ahly made three new signings this summer and activated the purchase clause for Khaled Abdel-Fattah from Smouha. Meanwhile, Pyramids FC enhanced their squad with nine new signings in preparation for the upcoming season.
Conversely, clubs like Zamalek and Ismaily did not engage in new signings due to restrictions preventing them from registering new players.
