Egyptian Expats to Vote in 2nd Phase of Parl't Elections Monday

Egyptian Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs announced that the second phase of parliamentary elections for Egyptian Expats will kick off on November 2, 3 via express mail according to an official statement issued today.

Makram underscored the continuous coordination between the ministry and the National Election Authority headed by Lasheen Ibrahim for responding to all inquiries sent by the Egyptians Expats about the upcoming elections.

She noted that the ministry has begun printing and sending ballot papers to the headquarters of the diplomatic missions, to be handed through November 4, 5, and 6 for those who registered their information on the official site of NEA.

The ballot papers will be available on NEA official website to voters for printing them by entering their registration code on the NEA website.

Voters will select candidates from the inpidual list system depending on their electoral district, and others from the closed list system.

Both ballot papers must be placed in envelopes with a voter declaration, photocopies of the voter’s national ID card or passport, and residency documents. The papers must be sent via express mail to the electoral committee of their country’s diplomatic mission.

The second phase of the parliamentary elections will run in 13 Egyptian governorates including Cairo, Ismailia, Port Said, Kafr El Sheikh, Gharbia, Suez, Damietta, Qalyubia, Dakahlia, Monufia, Gharbia, Sharqia, South Sinai, and North Sinia.
