Egyptian Expats Vote in Parliamentary Election

Egyptian expats are voting, today, Wednesday, in the first stage of the parliamentary election over three days, according to the schedule set by the National Elections Authority.

The National Elections Authority decided to allow voting through “express mail” due to the spread of COVID-19.

Voting in the Parliamentary election takes place outside Egypt in two stages, as the ongoing first phase includes 14 governorates, which are: Giza, Fayoum, Beni-Suef, Sohag, Minya, Assiut, New Valley, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, the Red Sea, Alexandria, Beheira, Marsa-Matrouh.

Earlier, Egyptian expats began to register their data on the official website of the National Elections Authority ahead of the parliamentary elections, so that they can vote via mail.

Meanwhile, the NEA announced that the first stage of the elections will kick off for Egyptians abroad from October 21 to 23 while it will kick off in Egypt on October 25 and 26.

The re-runs of the first stage will be held for Egyptians abroad from November 21 to 23 and in Egypt on November 24 and 25.
