The Egyptian Embassy in Algiers on Monday congratulated the Algerian national team on qualifying for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
Algeria beat Nigeria 2-1 in their semi-final match Sunday night.
The Egyptian Embassy, on its facebook page, called it a well-deserved victory and wished the Algerian football team best of luck in the final match with Senegal on Friday.
"Vive l'Algerie .. Vive l'Egypte," it said.
It is noteworthy that the Desert Warriors ended Nigeria hopes of winning the fourth Africa Cup of Nations title as they reached a first final since 1990 with a hard-fought semi-final Victory.
Riyad Mahrez’s 95-minute late goal gave them the victory after he fired a left-foot shot from a free kick.
It will be the second clash between both teams as they met before in the group stage when Desert Warriors pulled off a 1-0 victory over Teranga lions.
