Dr. Gamal Esmat, professor of gastroenterology at the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University in Egypt, confirmed that there are many positive indicators that suggest that control of the Corona pandemic ( also known as COVIOD-19) will begin in the middle of this year.

Dr. Esmat added in a television interview, "Corona is an experience that has not passed the world, and we were getting information hour by hour and minute by minute."

He continued, “Vaccines are subject to studies to ensure safety and efficiency, and we in Egypt have started vaccinating 12-year-olds, and this is very important for us.”

He pointed out that “the Omicron mutant, when it affects the unvaccinated, has 10 times the symptoms of the vaccinated people, and therefore, we say that with all this optimism, vaccinations are essential.”

And he added, “The reasons for controlling the Corona have many reasons, the most important of which are vaccinations, in addition to the mutant, over which we have no control.”

On the other hand, the Egyptian authorities announced last Saturday, the start of implementing new requirements and controls approved by the Ministry of Health and Population to enter the Egyptian territories through the quarantine departments at airports, seaports, and land crossings to confront Corona.

And the General Authority for Sea Ports revealed the application of the new requirements and controls approved by the Ministry of Health and Population to enter Egyptian territory in conjunction with developments related to confronting the Coronavirus.

The statement of the ports authority indicated that “it is required to enter the Egyptian territory to obtain the anti-Coronavirus vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) or the Egyptian Medicines Authority.”
