Egyptian, Cypriot FMs Stress Need to Enhance Regional Stability

On Tuesday, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry received a telephone conversation from his newly-appointed Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

In a statement, the Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Hafez, stated that Shoukry congratulated his Cypriot counterpart on assuming his position, and extended an invitation to him to visit Cairo soon.

The spokesman added that the two ministers agreed on the importance of working to enhance regional stability, especially in the Mediterranean region.

The talks also dealt with exchanging visions on all regional issues, where Shoukry presented the Egyptian efforts in this regard.

The two top diplomats agreed to continue the pace of coordination and consultation on issues of common concern.
