A delegation from the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, headed by Sherif Gad, took part in a celebration held by the Rosatom Corporation in the Dabaa region for the workers of the first Egyptian national nuclear reactor.
The celebration coincided with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Atom Stroy Export, which is one of the subsidiaries of the Rosatom Corporation that supervises the construction of the Daba reactor.
The celebration was attended by the families of 1,000 Russian and Egyptian engineers and technicians, who were honored for their professional excellence.
It also featured cultural activities and contests for Egyptian children who drew the reactor and painted on the helmets of the engineers.
In his remarks, Gad said that he was delighted that Rosatom had chosen the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities to participate in organizing the celebration.
He also emphasized that the Egyptian Ministry of Culture welcomes such events, which featured its popular music bands in addition to classical and modern Tanoura performers.
The event featured appearances by a number of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities members like Dr. Waleed Ali, Dr. Atef El-Sayed, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Naqeeb, Dr. Amr Bassiouni, Dr. Rania Ahmed, Dr. Hisham Hashem, Dr. Ahmed El Sebaei, Dr. Islam Saber, Dr. Abdel Aziz Mohamed, Dr. Mohamed Ghoneim, and Dr. Hatem Abul Naga.
