Egyptian Army: 7 Terrorists Killed in Heroic Retaliation Operation

On Wednesday, the Egyptian army carried out a military operation to pursue and besiege dozens of terrorists in isolated areas adjacent to the border areas, resulting in the killing of nine takfiris, according to an official statement released by the official Military Spokesperson, Colonel Gharib Abdel Hafiz.

“Proceeding from the national constants of the armed forces in maintaining the security and stability of the country, and within the framework of its efforts and coordination procedures between law enforcement forces during the period from May 7th until today and in retaliation for the blood of the martyrs, a number of terrorist elements were pursued and besieged in isolated areas adjacent to the border areas,” the statement read.

On May 7th, the Air Force carried out a focused air strike that destroyed a number of terrorist outposts and destroyed two four-wheel drive vehicles used by terrorist elements to implement their criminal plans, resulting in the killing of nine Takfiri elements.

The statement noted that the armed forces succeeded in discovering and destroying a number of explosive devices intended to target the military forces, adding that at the dawn of May 7th, our air forces continued to carry out their focused strikes, which resulted in the destruction of a vehicle and the killing of seven Takfiri elements.

Moreover, the law enforcement forces were able today, Wednesday, to thwart an attempt to attack one of the security check points leading to the killing of seven takfiri elements and the seizure of a number of automatic rifles, storage, hand grenades, wireless devices and volcano launchers.
