Egypt hosts 3 world championships in water sports.
The tournaments will be held in Hurghada from 8 to 15 May 2023.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, said that the government supports all sports federations, including the Swimming Federation, due to the importance of the championships that are organized, and it also promotes sports tourism cities in Egypt.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhy stressed that Egypt has a large infrastructure that makes it capable of organizing any sports tournament.
He added: The goal of holding the tournament in the city of Hurghada increases the revitalization of tourism.
Egypt hosts 3 international water championships, including the Water Ballet World Cup, the Open Water Swimming World Cup, in addition to the beach water polo qualifiers, which are held for the first time in Egypt, with the participation of 600 competitors from all over the world
