The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) announced on Monday that Egypt would host the 2022 Archery World Cup, set to be held on March 2022.

This came after the Egyptian state dazzled the whole world following its great organization of the Shotgun World Cup, currently being held in Egypt from February 22 till March 5, with the participation of 32 countries.

On his part, the sports and youth minister Dr. Ashraf sobhy thanked the ISSF for their confidence in Egypt, after the Egyptian state proved its capability of hosting such big events, following the current shotgun tournament.

The Egyptian minister confirmed Egypt's superiority in organizing international sporting events and tournaments, which sends confidence to international federations in the success of the Egyptian state in organizing various tournaments, noting that the successes achieved by the state in hosting major events at various levels are one of the most prominent factors for hosting more tournaments.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the ISSF Vladimir Lisin said that he is pleased with Egypt's great organization of the Shotgun World Cup, stressing that Egypt has become a destination to host the major tournaments.

Head of Egyptian Shooting Federation Hazem Hosny expressed his deep happiness of the ISSF's decision, regarding selecting Egypt as the host for the 2022 tournament, stressing that the Egyptian Federation is on the right way in hosting the tournaments.
