Egypt national football team is set to play two high-profile friendly matches against Russia national football team and Brazil national football team as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Egyptian Football Association, in coordination with United Sports Company, finalized agreements for the two friendlies as part of the national team’s final build-up to the tournament.
Egypt vs Russia Friendly
Egypt will face Russia on May 28 at the New Administrative Capital Stadium in Cairo.
Egypt vs Brazil Friendly
The Pharaohs will then travel to the United States for a final warm-up match against Brazil on June 6 in the US state of Ohio.
Egypt’s 2026 World Cup Group
The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, placed Egypt in Group G alongside:

Iran national football team
New Zealand national football team
The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and will feature 48 national teams for the first time in tournament history.
