Egypt to Boost Lebanese Medical System: Zayed

On Wednesday, Health Minister Hala Zayed said that Egypt is ready to provide all Lebanese medical system needs upon the directive orders of the political leadership, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health.

She added during her meeting with the Lebanese Ambassador to Cairo Ali Al Halabi that Egypt is ready to send COVID-19 vaccines to Lebanon after achieving self-sufficiency of vaccines by increasing the domestic manufacturing of vaccines.

On his side, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health revealed that both officials reviewed the efforts of the Egyptian medical teams in Lebanon that traveled after the Akkar explosion.

He continued that several medical teams specialized in plastic surgeries, and burns were sent to Lebanon, alongside medicines and medical devices shipment immediately after the explosion.

In the same context, Zayed asserted the importance of supporting friendly countries in times of need as Egyptian doctors checked and evaluated injured people daily and scheduled a number of surgeries.

Finally, the Lebanese ambassador sent special thanks to the Egyptian political leadership and the Ministry of Health for their significant response and help for Lebanon after the Akkar explosion.
