Egypt national football team delivered an emphatic 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia national football team in an international friendly played in Jeddah, as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
Led by head coach Hossam Hassan, Egypt produced a dominant attacking display, scoring four goals in a single match for the first time since their win over Botswana in September 2024 during Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The breakthrough came early, with Islam Issa opening the scoring in the fourth minute. Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet doubled the lead in the 16th minute, before Ahmed Sayed Zizo added a third just before halftime.
Omar Marmoush completed the rout in the 56th minute, sealing a comprehensive win for the visitors.
The result provides a significant morale boost for Egypt ahead of upcoming competitions, highlighting the team’s attacking strength and variety in goal scoring options as they build toward the World Cup.
