Egypt team advances to the semi-finals of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup

Egypt's men's modern pentathlon team qualified with a full mark to the semi-finals of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup, the first World Cup Series tournament of the current season.

Egypt hosted the tournament from March 7 to 12 in Cairo.

Six Egyptian players qualified for the semi-finals. Muhannad Shaaban qualified after topping the first group in the qualifiers with a total of 1180 points, Ahmed Ashraf qualified in third place with 1179 points, Ahmed Al-Jundi in fifth place with 1178 points, and Islam Hamed in sixth place in the group with 1178 points.

And qualified from the second group of the qualifiers: Mohammed Al-Jundi second place with 1181 points, and Moataz Wael thirteenth place in the group with 1169 points.

According to the tournament system, the first 18 players from each of the two qualifying groups qualified for the semi-finals, which is scheduled to be held on March 10, with the participation of 36 players divided into two groups, provided that 18 players qualify for the final round, with 9 players from each group, and the men's and women's singles final will be held on March 11.
