Commissioned by the President of the Republic, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, and Eng. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, met with Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, during his official visit to Egypt.
Abdelatty praised the momentum in the strategic relations between Egypt and the Russian Federation across all fields, including with the Republic of Tatarstan, noting the developmental leap the Republic of Tatarstan is witnessing particularly in industrial, technological, and agricultural sectors.
He also emphasized Egypt's commitment to strengthening economic ties with the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.
Moreover, FM affirmed the interest in expanding cooperation with companies from the Republic of Tatarstan and increasing training programs, technology transfer, and capacity building to contribute to the localization of these industries within Egypt.
He also pointed out the importance of attracting investments in the fields of logistics, agriculture, oil and gas, and petrochemicals, stressing the necessity of developing agricultural cooperation mechanisms, including increasing Egyptian agricultural exports to the Republic of Tatarstan and enhancing cooperation in agricultural engineering and mechanization, especially in light of Egypt's direction to establish a regional logistics hub for grains and energy.
At the end of the meeting, Abdelatty expressed his aspiration to increase the number of charter flights between the city of Kazan and Egyptian tourist cities to contribute to enhancing the flow of Russian tourism from the Republic of Tatarstan.
