Egypt firmly condemned the explosion, that targeted an election rally where Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa was speaking, in the city of Bulawayo in southern Zimbabwe, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
The ministry added that it is comfortable about the failure of the attack and survival of the president, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
Egypt stands with the Zimbabwean government and people for its stability and security, read the statement.
