The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts the country will witness a wave of unstable weather impacted by the Khamsin depression — dry, hot, sandy local wind affecting Egypt.

It is also foreseen for the country to experience an increase in temperature.

Winds will be active across Egypt, leading to a decrease in visibility on highways and desert roads.

There are also chances of light rain prevailing intermittently in Cairo, south of Lower Egypt, Canal cities, the Gulf of Suez, Sinai, the Red Sea mountain ranges, and south of Upper Egypt.

There are also chances of light to medium rainfall hitting the northwestern coasts and north of Lower Egypt.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters with northeast surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters with southeast surface winds.

Moreover, moderate weather is also expected to prevail across the country, at night.

There is also a 20% chance of light prevailing intermittently in Cairo and Lower Egypt.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 38°C in Cairo, 34°C in Alexandria, 25°C in Marsa Matruh, 42°C in Sohag, 44°C in Qena, and 45°C in Aswan.
