The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will experience a wave of unstable weather as of Tuesday.

Meteorologists also predicted that the wave would be accompanied by a rain of varying intensity and a temperature drop. The cold snap will continue until Wednesday.

Moderately cold weather will prevail in most of the country during the daylight hours.

Moderately warm weather is also expected to prevail in the South Upper Egypt.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, North Upper Egypt, and Central Sinai.

Dusty winds occasionally occur across the country.

Light to moderate rain, sometimes thunderous, is also forecast to hit Marsa Matruh, South Lower Egypt, and Canal Cities.

Moderate to heavy rain, sometimes thunderous, is expected in Alexandria, North Lower Egypt, and the Northeastern Coast.

Furthermore, maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in the Mediterranean Sea with winds averaging 50 to 70 km/h and waves ranging between 3.5:5.5 meters.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 2 and 3 meters with northwest surface winds.

Extremely cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.

There is a 20% chance of light rainfall prevailing intermittently in Cairo.

Meteorologists warn that frost may form on crops in parts of the North Upper Egypt, Central Sinai, and the Western Desert.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 18°C in Cairo, 18°C in Alexandria, 17°C in Marsa Matruh, 19°C in Sohag, 19°C in Qena, and 20°C in Aswan.
