Egypt’s Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation has released a report reviewing the outcomes of high-level and ministerial joint committees held throughout 2025, underscoring the country’s efforts to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations with sisterly and friendly nations.
In a statement, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat said Egypt’s political leadership continues to open new avenues for strategic cooperation with countries worldwide, noting that economic diplomacy remains a key tool for deepening economic, commercial and investment ties.
Al-Mashat emphasized that joint committees are among the main mechanisms through which Egypt works to enhance cooperation with partner countries, not only in economic and trade fields but also in cultural, scientific and technical areas. She added that the ministry oversees around 55 joint committees between Egypt and countries across various continents, contributing to the advancement of mutual interests and expanding opportunities for private-sector partnerships.
According to the ministry’s report, 11 joint committees were convened in 2025, including five high-level committees: the Egyptian-Algerian, Egyptian-Tunisian, Egyptian-Jordanian, Egyptian-Lebanese and Egyptian-Iraqi Higher Joint Committees. These meetings resulted in the signing of more than 63 cooperation documents aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships between Egypt and its Arab counterparts.
The report also highlighted the convening of ministerial joint committees between Egypt and Azerbaijan, Hungary, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Albania, chaired by Al-Mashat. These sessions led to the signing of several protocols covering a wide range of prospective cooperation areas, reflecting Egypt’s commitment to expanding international partnerships and supporting sustainable development objectives.
