The Ministry of Health and Population announced that the number of new coronavirus cases has increased significantly in the past few days, as people rushed to markets to buy commodities ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to the lack of commitment to precautionary and preventive measures to confront the virus.
In the following report, we review the noticeable increase in number of cases on the first days of the month of Ramadan: -
Tuesday: 823 cases – 39 deaths
Wednesday: 831 cases – 44 deaths
Thursday: 837 cases- 41 deaths
Friday: 841 cases - 42 deaths
The Ministry of Health announced that the total number in Egypt since the outbreak of the pandemic is 214639, including 162,170 recoveries, and 12,653 deaths.
