On Wednesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 948 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 395,688.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 22,042 nationwide after the ministry announced 28 deaths.
About 845 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 329,802.
Egypt has managed so far to vaccinate around 50 million people against the coronavirus.
The country’s vaccination campaign started in January using various types of imported and locally made vaccines and vaccinating millions of citizens.
