Egypt Reports 877 New Coronavirus Cases, 47 Deaths

On Wednesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 877 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 321,084.

 

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 18,105 nationwide after the ministry announced 47 deaths.

About 780 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 270973.

Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
