The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,446 nationwide after the ministry announced 7 deaths.
About 432 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 223,645.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
