On Thursday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 569 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 295051.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 16,921 nationwide after the ministry announced 13 deaths.
About 477 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 248425.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
