On Saturday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 881 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 323,733.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 18,242 nationwide after the ministry announced 47 deaths.
About 649 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 273,154.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
