On Tuesday, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 871 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 326,379.
The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 18,375 nationwide after the ministry announced 42 deaths.
About 875 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 275,637.
Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
