In the same context, Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, the Presidential Advisor for Health Affairs, said that there are close similarities between flu and Coronavirus symptoms such as the loss of taste and smell. However, both should not be treated as the same.
In addition, Tag El-Din advised all people to follow all medical measures to prevent infection from both viruses, adding that every case of flu should be treated carefully, especially after the rise in infections.
The presidential advisor asserted that people who suffer from dangerous diseases should be vaccinated, highlighting that the symptoms of the current wave of COVID-19 are somehow mild, but the infections have spread to whole families.
