Egypt won the Best Social Media Promotional Campaign in Russia according to Ad Colony.
The selected campaign was launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities two months ago on the occasion of the return of Russian tourists to Egypt tourist sites after six years of absence.
Therefore, Lamia Kamel, the Assistant of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Marketing and Promotion, said that Egypt is the only country that got such rates for the four-week campaign. In addition, Russians expressed huge interest in Hurghada.
She added that the campaign got almost 12 million views on Youtube, five million views on Facebook, and 1 million Facebook engagements. In addition, it got 11 million search times on Google engines by Moscow and St Petersburg’s residents.
Regarding the campaign’s views on VK, the number of its followers jumped from only 143 to 20,000 followers in a few days, and more than seven and a half million views in Russia for the campaign’s video, and two million views for the whole campaign’s material.
