Egypt Receives 63,000 Tons of Russian Wheat at Safaga Port

On Saturday, the Egyptian port of Safaga received the ship PAREA, loaded with 63,000 tons of Russian wheat, imported for the Supply Commodities Authority of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

The General Authority for Red Sea Ports announced that the Russian wheat shipment will be distributed to mills in southern Upper Egypt.

The authority examined the shipment and took the necessary measures to ensure its safety before allowing it to be released and unloaded in the silos of the Egyptian Safaga port.

It added that the total number of ships moored at the Authority's ports reached 13 ships, and 76,000 tons of various goods, 699 trucks, and 54 cars were handled.

The Egyptian import movement included 70 thousand tons of goods, 432 trucks, and 44 cars, while the export movement included 6 thousand tons of goods, 267 trucks, and 10 cars.

Also, 1320 tons of general and various goods were handled, and 132 trucks in the port of Nuweiba, and the port is preparing today to receive the ship AYLA, while yesterday the port received shuttle flights carrying a large number of tourists via the ships BRIDGE and AYLA.

The authority recorded the arrival of 1,390 passengers.
