Egypt, officially, submitted a proposal to host the AFCON 2027, the CAF official website announced on Thursday.
The CAF said in the press statement: "CAF has received declaration of interest from six countries in the bidding process to select the host nation for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027."
It added: the bidding nations are Algeria, Botswana, and Egypt, along with a joint bid from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
The statement also highlighted that 23 May 2023 is the deadline for Member Associations to submit their final bid, including all bidding and hosting documents. In addition, the CAF set the date of inspection visits to be between June 1, and July 15.
