Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, alongside senior leaders and employees across the petroleum sector, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Engineer Hossam Sadiq Khalifa, Assistant General Manager of Quality at Petrojet’s United Arab Emirates branch.
Khalifa passed away while performing his duties at the company’s site in Habshan, Abu Dhabi, during an evacuation following the outbreak of two fires caused by falling debris from an interception carried out by UAE air defenses.
The evacuation also resulted in minor injuries to four others, including two Egyptian nationals: Yasser Gomaa Ahmed Abdelsalam, Laboratory Supervisor, and Mohamed Ibrahim Ali Abdelrahman, Civil Quality Control Engineer. Both received necessary medical treatment and have since been discharged from the hospital.
The Ministry and Petrojet leadership offered condolences to the family of the deceased, honoring his dedication and service, and reaffirmed their commitment to the safety and well-being of all employees working at domestic and international sites.
