Egypt Main Pillar for Stability in Middle East: UNGA Boss

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Wednesday United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) President Maria Fernada Espinosa at Itihadiya presidential palace, Egyptian presidency spokesman Bassam Rady stated.

At the outset of the meeting, President El Sisi affirmed Egypt's stable position in adopting a comprehensive international approach to address the root causes of migration and refugee phenomena.

On her part, Espinosa hailed Egypt’s vital role in Middle East region as a main pillar for security and stability.

Moreover, she lauded Egypt’s active participation in UN various activities, and its keenness to defend African and developing countries’ issues, in the light of its current presidency of the African Union (AU).

"In another context, President El Sisi mourned the death of Sharjah ruler, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi‘s son, Crown Prince, Sheikh, Khaled bin Sultan Mohamed Al-Qasimi," Rady said.

In a phone call, Egyptian head of state expressed his deep condolences to Sharjah ruler, praying to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in paradise.

On the other hand, Al-Qasimi pointed out to the strong and deep relations between both countries at both official and popular levels, wishing Egypt more progress and prosperity.
