In a bid to boost Egypt’s tourism, the Tourism Authority launched a promotional campaign during the English Premier League (EPL) to familiarize football fans with the country’s culture and landmarks.
The new campaign seeks to promote Egypt’s tourist destinations to various targeted tourist markets and increase the flow of tourists, according to the CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Amr Al-Kad.
He revealed that this campaign includes advertisements for two minutes for each match, which will be broadcast on score screens at the different English stadiums.
The tourism expert further mentioned that these matches are transmitted by specialized international channels to different countries of the world and are watched by millions of EPL fans.
