The first stage of electronic visa has been launched on the official site www.visa2egypt.gov.eg, in cooperation with Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The site offers service in 8 languages where passengers can get their visa.

This type of visa is only for tourism, for those who have the traditional visa. It costs $25 for one flight and $60 for several ones. The visa's fees are not be regained in case of rejection.

The electronic visa is an alternative to the "on arrival" ones released in the harbor's entrance gates; It allows people to come to Egypt officially.

The first stage includes 46 nationalities that used to get a temporary visa in the Egyptian harbors.

A practical presentation will be offered in the headquarters of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 46 countries.

The second stage of electronic visa is expected to start by the end of this year. It will include applying the electronic method in 12 diplomat delegation and consulates abroad.

The applicant will receive his visa after inserting the required information and paying the fees through Credit or Debit Card.

The applicant should apply for the visa at least 7 days before their visit. Employees in harbors sometimes refuse to allow some passengers in for no apparent reasons.
