The Ministry of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs launched its first mobile phone application “Kalem Masr” for Egyptians abroad. The application will serve as a new and updated tool for enhancing communication with the Egyptian expatriates.

On her part, Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration, expressed her happiness with the newly-launched app, which is considered a new way of communication with the Egyptians abroad in order to rapidly meet their demands and create a bridge of link between Egypt and its sons who are residing outside the borders of their homeland.

The minister added that a dedicated team for technical support will be available for inquiries sent by users of Android phones, noting that work is ongoing to make the app available on the operating system IOS.

Egyptians can now download the application from Google Play, via the following link:

Makram pointed out that the application includes, for the first time, an interactive map of locations of embassies and consulates, in both Arabic and English.

The minister added that the app will be used to send some tips and advice to the Egyptian expatriates, who, in turn, can communicate with the Ministry by sending a text message through the "Questions and Answers" and "Contact us" sections.

The application also enables the users to follow up on the ministry’s activities and be aware of the industrial investment map in Egypt, in addition to benefiting from the fatwas ‘rulings’ issued by Al-Azhar International Center for Fatwa and reading the ministry’s monthly magazine "Egypt with you" in both Arabic languages and English.

The new application is launched in cooperation between the immigration ministry and "Icon Creations Co.", specialized in creating and designing websites and mobile apps.
