Egypt, Korea Look to Boost Medical Cooperation

On Monday, Egypt's Health Minister Hala Zayed met via video conference with South Korean medical and pharmaceutical firms to encourage Korean investments in Egypt's medical sector.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, according to a statement released by Egypt's Health Ministry.

In her address, the Minister of Health and Population said that Egypt is looking forward to fostering medical cooperation with South Korea in the fields of plasma collection and coronavirus vaccine production.

Following Zayed's keynote address, there was a lively and interactive discussion among the participants, who represented a number of Korean firms and the Korean embassy in Cairo.

They discussed the Korean support for Egypt through high-ranked delegations and experts from Seoul, who will participate in preparations for the manufacture of vaccines in the country, the ministry of health revealed.
