Egypt and Iraq have firmly rejected any displacement of Palestinians, calling it an attempt to undermine the Palestinian cause, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated during a press conference in Baghdad with his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani.

Madbouly emphasized both countries' unwavering commitment to Palestinian rights, particularly the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He warned that forced displacement would not only deepen the humanitarian crisis but also threaten regional stability.

Al Sudani, in turn, commended Egypt’s diplomatic efforts, particularly its mediation with Qatar and the United States in pursuit of a ceasefire in Gaza. He expressed hope that negotiations would lead to a sustainable resolution and an end to the devastating conflict.

Reaffirming Iraq’s stance, Al Sudani underscored his country’s support for broader regional initiatives aimed at fostering security, achieving a lasting ceasefire, and preventing further escalation.

The joint stance by Egypt and Iraq comes amid growing international concerns over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and calls for a political solution to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
