Egypt, Greece, Saudi Arabia Launch Bid for 2030 FIFA World Cup

On Wednesday, Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed al-Khateeb said Egypt, Greece, and Saudi Arabia are preparing to submit a joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

"Riyadh is considering the possibility of submitting a bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup together with Egypt and Greece," the minister said, according to the Al-Yaum Al-Sabia news portal on Wednesday.

As al-Khateeb stressed, "These three countries will invest heavily in infrastructure and sports facilities and will certainly be ready for this event." He added that by 2030, his country will have the best football stadiums and fan zones in the world.

He expressed his confidence in the success of the joint offer of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Greece to host the world football competition.
