Yesterday, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiques represented by Dr. Khaled El Enani, the Minister of Tourism and Antiques, delivered a number of historical coins to a number of friend countries: KSA, China, and India.
The celebration was held on the sidelines of the main celebrations with the 118th anniversary of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.
The political advisor of India expressed his pleasure after receiving a number of rare artifacts that depict the Indian civilization. He praised the historical and strong ties between Egypt and India. The four coins were seized by Egypt’s Post authorities.
Next, 65 gold and metal coins have been delivered to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Those coins have been seized previously in the Cairo Airport.
Moreover, 31 Chinese metal coins have been delivered to their home officials after being seized by Egypt’s Post authorities.
It is worthy to mention that a number of side events have been held on the occasion of the Egyptian Museum's 118th anniversary such as organizing a number of temporary exhibits at the museum showing some rare mummies and a number of the newly-discovered mummies and artifacts in Saqqara.
