Egypt Forecast: Heavy Rains Until Tuesday

Experts of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has unveiled its forecast of more rain spells predicted to hit the country from Friday, 13 to Tuesday, November 17.

 

  • Friday

The experts predict that moderate will prevail in Marsa Matruh, Sidi Barani, and El Salloum, while light to moderate rain will hit Alexandria.

 

  • Saturday

They stated that medium to heavy rain will prevail in Alexandria, Sidi Abdel Rahman, Dabaa, Marsa Matrouh, Sidi Baraa, El Salloum, Rashid, Baltim, Port Said, and Al Arish.

Moreover, Damietta, Kafr El Sheikh, and Beheira will experience medium rain, while light rains will hit Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the cities of the Suez Canal including, Ismailia, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Menoufia, and Sharqia.

The meteorologists added that medium to heavy rain is expected in Alexandria, Sidi Abdel Rahman, Dabaa, Marsa Matrouh, Sidi Barani, El Salloum, Rashid, Baltim, Port Said, Al Arish, Damietta, Al Arish, Kafr El Sheikh, and Beheira.

They also predict that light rain will hit Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the canal cities including, Port Said, Suez, Ismailia, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Menoufia, Sharqia, and central Sinai.

The rainfall will be accompanied by wind and a decrease in temperature over these areas.

  • Monday

Moderate rain is expected to prevail in some of the northern coastal areas including, Alexandria, Marsa Matrouh, and El Salloum.

Meanwhile, light rain will hit in some areas of the northeastern coast and north of Lower Egypt including, Al Arish, Port Said, Rashid, Kafr El Sheikh, and Beheira.

  • Tuesday

The meteorologists also predict that light to moderate rain will prevail in some areas of the northern coasts including, Alexandria, Marsa Matrouh, and El Sallum.

They noted that light rain will hit some areas of the northeastern coast and north of Lower Egypt including, Al Arish, Port Said, Rashid, Kafr El Sheikh, and Beheira.

 

EMA stressed the need to take all necessary preparations and measures to reduce the effects of heavy rain.
