The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather to prevail in Cairo, Eastern Coast, Lower Egypt, and the south of the country, during daylight hours on Sunday.

Moderately hot weather is also expected to hit the West Coast.

Experts predict the country will continue to experience a rise in the temperature, which is expected to begin to improve starting Monday.

There is a 50% chance of light to medium rain to prevail in the Northwestern Coast and the Red Sea mountain ranges, extending light rainfall, sometimes thunderous, in South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.

Winds will be active in the Western coasts and canal cities, stirring sand and dust in the Eastern Coast, Central Sinai, North Upper Egypt, and the Western Desert.

Atmospheric dust is also foreseen to prevail intermittently in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and South Upper Egypt.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 1.5 meters in height with northeastern surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters in height varying between northwestern to southeastern surface winds.

Moreover, cold weather is also expected to prevail in most parts of the country, at night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 35°C in Cairo, 28°C in Alexandria, 23°C in Marsa Matruh, 38°C in Sohag, 38°C in Qena, and 38°C in Aswan.
