Egypt, Denmark stress need to begin reconstruction operations in Gaza Strip without displacement

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call today from Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the call focused on the importance of implementing the outcomes of the president’s recent state visit to Denmark, as well as all aspects of the strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the economic and investment fields, and clean and renewable energy, especially amid Egypt’s keenness to become a center for the production and export of green hydrogen, based on the promising capabilities it possesses in this field.

For her part, the Danish Prime Minister praised the momentum witnessed in bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing her country’s keenness to strengthen coordination with Egypt, whether at the bilateral level or within the framework of international forums.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, added that they discussed the developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip, as the President and the Prime Minister of Denmark stressed the necessity of fully implementing the ceasefire agreement in its three stages, exchanging and release of hostages and prisoners, and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid to end the catastrophic humanitarian situation that the people of the Strip are suffering from. 

They also stressed the need to begin reconstruction operations in Gaza, without displacement.
