Egyptian champion Jana Mohamed Zaki defeated an Israeli player at the World Junior Chess Championship, currently being held in Albania and continuing until October 16.
Jana Mohamed Zaki's victory over the Israeli player came in the third match of the World Junior Chess Championship, where players will play 11 matches to secure the championship trophy.
The Egyptian U14, U16, and U18 national teams are participating in the World Junior Championship: David George (U14), Farid Tamer Wagih (U16), Hamed Wafa and Ahmed Qandil (U18), Genawi Mohamed Zaki (U16), Joy Romani (U16), and Dima (U18).
