President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will hold a tripartite meeting on Tuesday at El-Etehadiya presidential palace, according to Presidency spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi.

It is scheduled that the meeting will tackle cooperation among three countries in the energy field, as well as important regional issues in the Middle East.

Moreover, the meeting will address ways to counter-terrorism, and illegal immigration.

The three leaders are always keen on holding this summit regularly to discuss security and military cooperation and preserve the Mediterranean region's stability.

Noteworthy, in October 2018, Egyptian, Greek, and Cypriot leaders held a tripartite summit in Greece's Crete island.

The summit began with talks among the three leaders, as President Sisi commended holding these meetings periodically, a matter which reflects the strength and depth of ties among the three countries and keenness on expanding frameworks of cooperation.

They discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various domains, especially in the tourism and energy ones.

Moreover, Egypt's head of state convened with his Greek and Cypriot counterparts, during the "Revival of Hellenism" week in Alexandria last May 2018.

This trilateral summit will be the seventh to gather the leaders of the three countries since 2014. The timing of the summit is crucial in light of the latest developments in the eastern Mediterranean region.
